Raymond holds a BA degree from the College of Charleston, SC and a MA in Historic Preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design, GA, during which time he interned with the City of Orlando.

Professional and community experience includes activist and guest speaking for preservation issues and past chair of the City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board.  Raymond has provided residential consulting in Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Recently, along with colleague Terry Cook, he has started Iron Lions Preservation Consulting, LLC. in Oviedo, Fl. Some services for both residential and commercial clients include design consultation, local preservation ordinance compliance, review board representation, federal and local rehabilitation tax credit compliance, documentation for national, state and local nominations, site file preparation, façade easement maintenance, and oral history documentation.

Prior to receiving her Masters in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Terry Cook was a successful educator, author and workshop presenter receiving both  state and national recognition as a Teacher of the Year and a USA-Today Teacher Team member.

Her work with at-risk students involved integrating the visual arts into the standard curriculum in an effort to increase learning and “... keep kids coming to class”.  Cook’s primary area of interest in Historic Preservation is the implementation and application of the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) as it applies to existing historic buildings. With the increasing awareness of sustainability the LEED program demonstrates how Historic Preservation is a tool for ‘going green’.
